Gladstone Rural Fire Chief Joe Wanner said about 52 bales of hay caught fire on a combined trailer heading west on Interstate 94 between Gladstone and Taylor on Tuesday afternoon. 
The fire shut down part of I-94 for sometime to fight the blaze and clean up.
The cause of the blaze is unknown. The driver of the semi was not harmed. (Submitted photo)
