1 dead, 1 injured in single-vehicle crash
A 51-year-old Las Vegas man is dead after a rollover accident along U.S. Highway 2 between Minot and Stanley, according to a North Dakota Highway Patrol release.
The driver of the vehicle, 23-year-old Eric Flores of Minot, told the Highway Patrol he was traveling 55 mph in the westbound left lane when he lost control of the vehicle, a 2003 Ford F-150, at approximately 8 a.m. The vehicle entered the center median and overturned, coming to a rest on its wheels in the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 2. The road was covered in frost at the time of the crash.
The unidentified passenger was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Flores was wearing a seatbelt and was injured. The name of the passenger will be released pending family notification. The incident is still under investigation.
