Anton (Tony) Velenchenko, 79, Great Falls, Montana, formerly of Fayette, ND, died Feb. 10, 2014 at Benefis Hospital, Great Falls, MT. Services will be held March 28, 2014 at 1:00 PM MT at St. John's Lutheran Church in Killdeer, ND. Burial will be at the Killdeer Cemetery.

Anton (Tony) was born on November 22, 1934 at Fayette, North Dakota to Gust and Lena (Kohanes) Velenchenko and grew up on the family farm which was the original Velenchenko homestead. He attended grade school in a one room country school near the homestead.

In 1955, Tony joined the US Navy and was stationed at China Lake, California as a Security Guard. Following his discharged from the Navy in 1957, he returned to the family farm and farmed with his parents. Leaving the farm in 1960, he moved to California working on an almond farm. He moved back to North Dakota in 1963 and farmed until 1966. He then moved to Dickinson working for Cenex. In 1979 he moved to Montana where he lived in Conrad, Dillion and Ulm working for Cenex. He retired and moved to Great Falls in 2008.

He is preceded in death by his parents Gust and Lena and two sisters Francis and Grace.
