Area thefts reported, resolved
Two thefts were reported in the area Wednesday, according to authorities.
Two chain saws were stolen out of a garage on West Broadway, Dickinson Police Capt. Joe Cianni said.
"He had a chain saw out in his front yard for sale for the past few weeks," Cianni said. "Some guy was interested. He told him he had another chain saw in the garage and said he didn't need this one anymore."
The owner took them into his garage prior to the theft, Cianni said.
A pump worth about $2,100 was also stolen from a Whiting Petroleum oil site about five miles east of Belfield, Stark County Sheriff Clarence Tuhy said.
No arrests have been made and authorities are investigating.
Two burglaries that occurred over the weekend have been resolved, according to the Dickinson Police Department.
Two 17-year-old males have been charged with burglary, possession of stolen property and theft in connection to a residential burglary on A Street.
More than $600 cash was taken from the residence.
DPD investigators have deemed a residential burglary on Third Avenue West a civil matter.
A television had been reported stolen from the residence.
