Armstrong seeks District 36 seat
Kelly Armstrong announced Friday he is seeking Republican endorsement for the District 36 State Senate position Sen. George Nodland is stepping down from.
"I've been involved with the Republican Party at the state level and the national level for pretty much my whole adult life," Armstrong said. "I think these are incredibly important times for western North Dakota. I think we need a strong voice in Bismarck, particularly in the areas of infrastructure and safety."
The Dickinson native is an attorney at Reichert Armstrong. He began practicing law in Grand Forks in 2003 and returned to Dickinson in 2006.
Ben Simons of South Heart and Alan Fehr of Dickinson are also seeking the Republican nomination.
"I think it's great," Armstrong said of the competition. "I think it shows that people are willing to get involved and there's things that need to happen out here."
