Dunn County State's Attorney Ross Sundeen verified the arrests had been made but would not elaborate. He said the investigation into the death of Neal Matejovsky, 49, is ongoing and more arrests are possible.

"Arrests have been made and upon conclusion of the investigation we'll be able to release additional information," Sundeen said.

Stark County Sheriff Clarence Tuhy said a social worker reported Matejovsky missing about 10 days earlier, when the man did not show up to pick up a check. Boepple said Dickinson police received a tip Wednesday that there may be a body in the area.

Matejovsky's body was found Friday in Dunn County on a section-line eight miles east of Highway 22. Dunn County Sheriff Larry Boepple said it appeared Matejovsky was shot. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Bismarck.

"I think that this thing is very unexpected and it happened for no reason," said Jaden Bear, Matejovsky's friend.

Bear, of Beulah, said she is glad the police have found people who might be responsible.

"It makes me feel relieved," she said. "It makes me feel satisfied. It makes me feel that these people need to be punished for what they did because Neal is a very innocent man and he would never hurt anybody."

Bear said Matejovsky had personal issues, but he was a good person and she can't think of a reason why someone would shoot him.

Tuhy and Boepple both said the public has nothing to worry about.

The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting the Dunn County Sheriff's Department with the investigation.
