AT&T, CenturyLink service severed, emergency calls not possible
Phone service for AT&T and CenturyLink customers in Stark County has been severed, the Dickinson Police Department announced at 8:45 p.m. Thursday.
The police department requested that any AT&T or CenturyLink customers requiring 911 assistance call from a Verizon cellphone or a non-CenturyLink landline telephone.
The issue developed late Thursday evening after someone apparently cut through a fiber line, officials said. There was no estimate when service would be restored.
The Dickinson Press will follow up on this story as soon as possible.
