Attempt to thaw pipes may have tainted water

TIOGA — The North Dakota Department of Health has experts in Tioga because chemicals used to thaw frozen pipes in an apartment complex may have gotten in the water system.

Tioga officials were told Thursday that chemicals, possibly including antifreeze, may have been introduced into an apartment complex’s water system to thaw water lines, the North Dakota Department of Health said Friday.
