Ten years ago, Sam Spreadborough moved from Australia to Texas to ride saddle broncs.

On Thursday night, the 30-year-old came to Dickinson and showed exactly why he came to the United States.

The seventh-ranked bronc rider in the world took Korkow Rodeo's Bahama Mama on a smooth 81-point ride to win the first performance of the Roughrider Days Rodeo at the Dickinson State Outdoor Arena.
