Beulah, Ryan stay atop Class B polls; Trinity boys still No. 3

Beulah and Minot Ryan aren't giving up wins, which means they aren't giving up their respective No. 1 rankings in the Class B basketball polls.

The Beulah boys (16-0) and the Minot Ryan girls (13-0) held onto their unanimous top spots in the state media polls released Monday.

Dickinson Trinity (16-1) remained No. 3 behind Beulah and No. 2-ranked North Star (15-1) in the boys poll. The Titans' only loss is to Beulah. They host Richardton-Taylor in a District 14 game at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Knights of Columbus Activities Center.

The top six in the boys poll remained unchanged with Trenton jumping to two spots to No. 7 and Des Lacs-Burlington and Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky entering the poll at Nos. 8 and 9, respectively.

The New Town girls moved from No. 3 to 2 after formerly second-ranked Grafton lost twice last week and dropped all the way to No. 7.

Members of the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association votes on the polls weekly throughout the season.
