Bismarck airport receives federal grant

BISMARCK — The Bismarck Municipal Airport will receive a $3 million federal grant for runway protection.

The funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation will be used toward phase two of an environmental mitigation project and to construct mitigation to an off-airport wetland site.

Earlier this month, Bismarck received more than $1.9 million from the USDOT to rehabilitate one of its runways.
