Bismarck outruns Midgets

BISMARCK — Dickinson High came out sluggish and Bismarck High took advantage.

James Iron Eyes was 6 of 8 from the field and scored 15 points to go along with six rebounds as the Demons cruised to a 70-36 West Region victory on Thursday night.

“They outplayed us,” Dickinson head coach John Wilson said. “They outworked us, they outhustled us. They flat-out defended the heck out of us.”

Levi Jordheim had six points and four rebounds to lead the Midgets, who were 16 of 53 from the field. Luke Herauf, Aanen Moody and Dylan Skabo each scored five points for Dickinson (4-11, 3-9 West).

Taylor Schafer also had 15 points while Dylan Werner and Seth Heilman each added 10 for the Demons (10-5, 8-4 West).

Dickinson hosts Jamestown at 5:45 p.m. Saturday.
