Bismarck State defeats NDSCS in 4 sets
BISMARCK — Madison Deibert and Leslie Beaudoin, former Dickinson High players, combined for 33 kills as Bismarck State College defeated North Dakota State College of Science in four sets 25-18, 25-19, 20-25, 25-19 to win the Region 13 title on Thursday.
With the win, the Mystics advance to the the NJCAA Division II national tournament. Deibert was named Region 13 all-tournament MVP after supplying 18 kills and aces, while Beaudoin added 15 kills and two blocks. Rachel Schroeder, a freshman at BSC and former DHS player, posted seven kills. The three former DHS players combined for 40 of the Mystic’s 60 kills.
Morgan Hensch had a game-high 20 kills for the Wildcats. Megan Kolness dished out 35 assists and Callie Sinclair and Taylor Anderson combined for 38 digs.
