AMES, Iowa — New head coach, new starting quarterback and a primarily new offensive line, but the same old Bison.

North Dakota State gained 503 yards to power past Iowa State for a 34-14 victory Saturday in NCAA Division I college football at Jack Trice Stadium before 54,800 fans.

“We have new coaches, but the tradition stays,” said Bison senior safety Christian Dudzik, who had an interception. “The preparation is exactly the same. … The culture here is not going to change.”
