Blizzard watch issued for Dickinson, surrounding area
At 3:40 this afternoon, the National Weather Service posted a blizzard watch for Sunday and Monday for southwest and south central North Dakota.
Snow is expected Sunday through Monday and there is a chance for "significant" snow along the Interstate corridor and points south, according to the service. This includes Dickinson, Mott, Beach, Medora, Hettinger, Bowman and Marmarth.
The chance of snow Sunday is 60 percent with less than an inch forecasted. Sunday evening's chance is 100 percent with 4-8 inches possible.
Strong wind is forecast, causing blowing and drifting snow and near-zero visibility, according to the NWS.
