Boardings increase at Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport
June boardings at Dickinson's Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport are up more than 50 percent from a year ago, according to figures released Friday by the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission.
With a total of 3,103 boardings last month, TRRA easily surpassed the June 2012 sum of 2,054 boardings. Statewide, only Sloulin Field International Airport in Williston witnessed a bigger increase year-to-year.
Representing a jump of more than 200 percent from its June 2012 numbers, Williston's commercial service airport had 7,581 people board its planes last month. In all, 554,673 passengers boarded commercial planes in North Dakota last month, a jump of nearly 10 percent from the same time last year.
