Body found along I-90 in Montana
BUTTE, Mont. (AP) -- Butte-Silver Bow County officials say the body of a woman in her mid-40s was found on the shoulder of Interstate 90 between the Fairmont and Anaconda exits.
Sheriff John Walsh said Wednesday the death was under investigation, but foul play isn't suspected. The woman's body is being taken to the state crime lab in Missoula for an autopsy.
The Montana Highway Patrol says a passing motorist called 911 Wednesday morning to report the body. A dispatcher says a trooper got the call shortly after 7:30 a.m.
Investigators found the woman's vehicle parked about a half a mile east of the Fairmont exit on the frontage road. Investigators suspect she died shortly before her body was discovered.
Walsh says identification was found on the woman, but he didn't release her name.
