Bureau of Reclamation adjusts Dickinson Dam
Bureau of Reclamation workers pushed the buttons and opened the Dickinson Dam a bit this morning to release water from Patterson Lake in conjunction with the spring thaw.
In the next few weeks they move on to the Heart Butte Dam and then the Jamestown Dam, they said.
Much of southwest and northwest North Dakota, including Dickinson, Medora and Killdeer, are under a flood watch, according to the National Weather Service.
