Brost named nurse manager of ambulatory surgery center Tania Brost, a registered nurse, has been named nurse manager of the ambulatory surgery center within Sanford Health Dickinson Clinic.
As surgery manager, Brost will direct and coordinate departmental functions and plan for the delivery of patient care in the ambulatory surgery center. She has 18 years of nursing experience.
The ambulatory surgery center in Dickinson is scheduled to open this summer. When it opens, it will allow for outpatient general surgical and gynecological procedures, which may include colonoscopies, gallbladder removal and vaginal hysterectomies.

Basin Electric welcomes 3 employees Basin Electric Power Cooperative has hired three local women, according to the company’s publication.
Golden Valley native Leigh Lund joined the Great Plains Synfuels Plant Jan. 2. She will be a process operations field technician at the Dakota Gasification Company-owned plant near Beulah. Lund graduated from Bismarck State College with an associate degree in process plant technology.
Mandi Hetletved started as a scheduling and training assistant March 10 at Basin Electric’s headquarters in Bismarck. The Belfield native has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Mary in Bismarck.
Dickinson native Rachel Lozensky was also hired at the Synfuels Plant Jan. 13 as a field technician in the chemistry laboratory. She graduated from Minot State University with a degree in chemistry.
Southwest Judicial District Bar Association elects new officers The Southwest Judicial District Bar Association elected new officers at its biennial meeting on March 6.
Tom Gehrz was elected as president of the Association and Beth Ebert was elected as secretary-treasurer, each for two-year terms. As president, Gehrz will also serve as the Association’s representative on the Board of Governors for the State Bar Association of North Dakota.
Gehrz is an assistant state’s attorney for Stark County. He has practiced in North Dakota since 2010. He also serves on the Member Services Committee within the State Bar Association. Gehrz graduated from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis.
Ebert practices law with the Mackoff Kellogg Law Firm in Dickinson. She has been in private practice since 2011 and also serves as the Golden Valley County assistant state’s attorney. She is a 2011 graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law.
The Southwest Judicial District Bar Association consists of all lawyers practicing in the eight counties of southwest North Dakota, including, Stark, Adams, Billings, Bowman, Dunn, Golden Valley, Hettinger and Slope counties. The Association serves as the official organization of lawyers within the Southwest Judicial District.
RehabVisions staff attend training RehabVisions occupational therapy staff attended training for splinting provided by Terri Sullivan, occupational therapist registered and certified hand therapist, at the Bone and Joint Center in Bismarck on March 30. The course entailed common diagnoses requiring specific splinting and fabrication of a variety of splints.
Staff attending the course included Theresa Brooke, Katie Huffman, Haylee Peters, Rayel McPeters, all occupational therapists registered, and Jill Deschamp, a certified occupational therapy assistant.
