Carroll cruises past Valley City State, 47-0

HELENA, Mont. -- Dane Broadhead three three touch-down passes Chance Demarais rushed for two scores as No. 2-ranked Carroll College blanked Valley City State in the first round of the NAIA playoffs.

VCSU gained just 127 total yards as the Saints marched to a 47-0 win at Nelson Stadium.

Broadhead was 15 of 18 for 237 yards passing. Demarais, the NAIA's leading rusher, had 80 yards on 18 carries.

A.J. Pfeifer led the 12th-ranked Vikings (9-2) with 70 yards rushing.
