According to Consolidated, Viacom is requesting a fee increase at 40 times the rate of inflation.

The existing agreement expires on Monday. Viacom may turn off their networks on Consolidated’s network until a new agreement is reached.

Programing fees paid to companies is the bulk of cable bills.

Two years ago, national television provided DirecTV went through a similar fight with Viacom, which pulled 17 networks from the satellite provider for 10 days in July 2012.
