Couple on the run after man accused of sexually assaulting woman's daughter arrested in Indiana
FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Police in Fargo said a man and woman who went on the run after the man was accused of sexually assaulting the woman's daughter have been arrested in Indiana.
A warrant for 37-year-old Anthony Sells was issued in Cass County last week on a charge of gross sexual imposition of a victim less than 15 years old.
His girlfriend, the alleged victim's 34-year-old mother, was charged with hindering law enforcement. Court documents say that she told police the girl was recanting her story.
The woman was not identified to protect her daughter's identity.
The U.S. Marshal's Service says deputy marshals and officers with the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested the couple about 8 a.m. Tuesday at a hotel in Merrillville, Ind.
