Email

NEW TOWN — About 690 barrels of crude oil leaked from an underground pipeline leading into a tank facility about 14 miles northeast of New Town, the North Dakota Department of Health reported Saturday.

The pipeline is owned by Bridger Pipeline, and the spill was completely contained on site within perimeter dikes, the department said in a news release.

About 640 barrels had been recovered, and cleanup efforts were continuing.
