- Lake Sakakawea elevation, Wednesday: 1,841.5 feet above mean sea level; 13,000 cubic feet per second Garrison Dam average daily releases.


- North Dakota Game and Fish Department District Game Wardens: Missouri remains good for walleye.

- Bismarck, Dakota Tackle, Missouri River/area lakes: Missouri River spotty and inconsistent around Hazelton but generally fair success. Lots of small northern pike mixed in. Continued walleye activity casting crankbaits from shore at night, starting late afternoon. Also try casting No. 13 floaters or rattling crankbaits around the Heskett Plant north of Bismarck.

- Dickinson, Andrus Outdoors, Lake Sakakawea/area lakes: Missouri River remains good from shore in the evening using crankbaits. Lake Tschida producing walleye and smallmouth bass using vertical jigs and minnows. Lake Sakakawea slow.

- Dickinson, Runnings Farm & Fleet, Lake Sakakawea/area lakes: Missouri River remains fair to good for walleye with better success from boat. Try about 12 feet. Late night bite continues from shore using crankbaits. Try No. 13 Husky Jerks.

- Glen Ullin, Fitterer's Inc., Lake Tschida: Occasional angler on Lake Tschida but no reports.

- Mandan, Southside MVP, Missouri River/area lakes: Missouri River fair for walleye but slower in the morning with cooler temperatures.

- New Town, Van Hook Bait & Tackle, Lake Sakakawea: Not many reports from the Van Hook Arm with most anglers working the Missouri River tailrace.

- Pick City, Scott's Bait & Tackle, Lake Sakakawea/Missouri River: Missouri River remains good for walleye using live bait during the day from boats. Also try plastics. Slower from shore during the day. Continued activity at night from the rocks using crankbaits.

- Watford City, One-Stop, Lake Sakakawea: Continued fair to good for walleye around Tobacco Garden on Lake Sakakawea.

- Watford City, Tobacco Garden Resort & Marina, Lake Sakakawea: Continued good walleye activity with some northern pike and sauger mixed in. Try jigs.

- Williston, Scenic Sports, Lake Sakakawea: Missouri River near Williston remains good for walleye.


- NDGF District Game Wardens: Deer moving more as row crop harvest progresses. Be sure to follow up your shots. Lots of geese in west-central North Dakota but little hunting pressure.

- Northwest: Deer hunters having tough success, though they're seeing better pheasant numbers. Good numbers of Canada geese around the midsection of Lake Sakakawea.

- Southwestern: Deer hunting success somewhat mixed with some hunters finding good luck and others finding few deer. Continued fair to good pheasant success with better success to the south. Rut is starting to kick in so deer are more active.

- West-central: Good numbers of geese remain in the area, including snow geese, lesser, and giant Canada geese. Birds are getting decoy-shy. Pheasant hunters finding fair success.
