David Hipsak, age 59, Bismarck, passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, North Dakota, on Friday, July 11, 2014, due to medical complications after a long battle with kidney failure.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Church of St. Mary in Bismarck with Rev. Msgr. Gene Lindemann officiating. Burial will be at St. Marys Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 5:00 PM at Eastgate Funeral Service. A vigil service will begin at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Born June 1, 1955 in Dickinson, North Dakota, his family moved to Bellevue, Washington, in 1988 where he resided for four years before moving back to North Dakota in 1991 to raise his two young kids. He worked with the department of corrections for the last 17 years.
David is a beloved husband of 30 years and father who always ensured that his family came first, even before his own health. His love and care will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; daughter, Kari; and son, Keith, all of Bismarck; sister, Rudiana Rotering of Missoula, Montana; brothers, Arnold of Mandan, Stephen of Douglas, Wyoming, and Louis of Missoula, Montana; as well as other numerous loved family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerald.
