DHS to present play 'The Trojan Women'
The Dickinson High School Drama department will present "The Trojan Women" by Tonya Hays at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Dickinson High School Auditorium.
"The Trojan Women" is a one-act adaptation of the Ancient Greek play by Euripides. The plot revolves around the women who have survived the fall of Troy, and their fates.
This play was the Dickinson High School presentation at State Drama festival and placed fifth out of 12 presentations.
The evening will also include the performance of entries in solo acting, duo acting, Solo musical theatre, and costume design. Sarah Ramsey and Chris Prchal placed first at state with their duo acting, and Elizabeth Pavlicek placed third with her costume designs.
Cast members for "The Trojan Women" are: Eden Jackson, David Fehr, Sarah Ramsey, Elizabeth Pavlicek, Helena Montoya, Chris Prchal, Brooke Anton, Karina Perusquia, Kathleen Bachman, Victoria Craig, Suzannah Moberg, Victoria Ryan and Sean Nash. Brian Rhodes is assistant director and light technician.
