The public is invited to attend the museum from 12:30-4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, in the DHS gymnasium.

The exhibits will include poster boards and artifacts from family members.

The World War II unit was taught by James Fahy, Dave Michaelson, Jeremy Wanner, Dan Pender and Brian Ham.

“They range anywhere from life on the home front to events, people and even a section on the Holocaust,” Ham said.

The social studies unit allows students to be creative, connect with history and explore what they are interested in, he said.

“We have some students who made original works of art,” he added. “Some students interviewed family members, some students did documentaries and some used technology.”

Next year, the unit of study is the Great Depression.
