Dickinson commissioner’s grandson OK after school shooting
The Arapahoe High School shooting in Colorado hit home Friday for Dickinson City Commissioner Shirley Dukart.
Message of the shooting left Dukart worried until she received word from her daughter, Becky Johnston, that her grandson, Andrew, an eighth-grader in the district who takes high school courses at Arapahoe High School was home sick Friday. He does not attend classes daily at Arapahoe.
Dukart received a message from Johnston during a meeting today asking that Dukart “pray for us.” Johnston works at an area hospital, which was put on alert due to the shootings.
