Dickinson family injured in Interstate 94 crash

BARNESVILLE, Minn. -- A family of five from Dickinson was injured in a rollover accident Thursday afternoon near Barnesville.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the accident happened around 12:20 p.m. on Interstate 94 near mile marker 26.

Nicholas Coulson, 34, was westbound on the interstate when he lost control of the Ford F-150 pickup he was using to pull a 24-foot trailer. The pickup went into the north ditch and rolled.

Roads were icy at the time of the crash, the patrol said.

Coulson and his wife, Amy Coulson, 35, and their three children, 11-year-old Darnell Burch, 3-year-old Laken Coulson and 4-year-old Channelle-Lynn Coulson, suffered injuries that were not life threatening.

The family was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, the patrol said.
