SPEARFISH, S.D. — The Bowman County, Dickinson High and Killdeer boys track and field teams made the most out of their trip to South Dakota.

The three schools had at least one athlete achieve a state-qualifying mark on Saturday.

Dickinson’s Jace Dukart ended with a pair of fourth place finishes in the 200- and 400-meter dashes. He ran the 200 in 23.14 seconds and 51.37 seconds in the 400. Despite placing out of the top 10 in the 100, Tevan Thompson ran a state-qualifying mark at 11.22 seconds.

Jackson Binstock qualified for the state meet in the 800 run with a time of 2:01.6. The 800 relay team state-qualifying mark in 1:33. Carter Blackwell ran a time of 41.58 seconds in the 300 hurdles.

Killdeer’s Lewis Dobitz placed first and runner-up in the 200 and 100 dashes, respectively. He finished with a top time of 22.99 seconds in the 200 and ended with a 10.71 in the 100. Tucker Beck won the long jump with a distance of 20-feet, 10.25 inches.

The Cowboys also won the 800 (1:31.66) and sprint (3:44.65) medleys, while also coming in runner-up in the 400 relay (45.09). Trenton Rohr also ran a state-qualifying time in the 100 (11.39).

Bowman County’s Tanner Fischer ran a state-qualifying time and placed fifth in the 110 hurdles (15.80 seconds).
