Dickinson Police investigating injury crashes

The Dickinson Police Department is investigating injury crashes that occurred within city limits this week, Capt. Dave Wilkie said.

The first occurred on Tuesday evening. Approximately $10,000 worth of damage was done to two vehicles and all three drivers were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center. The crash occurred in the 2300 block of Villard Street West.

The second occurred Wednesday evening when a semi truck rear-ended a Chevy Impala at the intersection of 15th Street and Third Avenue West.

There was no damage to the semi truck and minimal damage to the car. The passenger of the car was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph’s.

The driver, Jewel Schamara, drove herself to the hospital after being cited for not having liability insurance.
