Dickinson Trinity handles Standing Rock
FORT YATES — It’s been a week since the Dickinson Trinity girls basketball team took the court, but the team’s game had no rust on it.
The Titans defeated Standing Rock 85-35 Friday night and shined in all aspects of the game.
Kennedy Keator, Rachel Jahner, Alanna Sickler and Katelyn Grinsteinner combined for 57 points. Jahner hit a game-high four 3-pointers. Trinity went 7 for 15 from the free-throw line.
Trinity dominated the scoring from the beginning and had 21 points in the first quarter and had a 34-point lead at halftime.
Only five players scored for the Warriors with Ashlynn Sandland leading her team with 13 points. Shoni Wolf Necklace followed with seven points, Charlie Bailey added five, Mataya Harrison contributed four and Amaryellis Eagle rounded out with three.
Trinity travels to Bismarck to take part in the Civic Center Jamboree and play Kidder County at 4:30 p.m. today.
