Dickinson Trinity rolls past Hettinger-Scranton

HETTINGER — The Dickinson Trinity boys basketball team jumped out to an early lead and never let up.

Austin Deichert, who scored a season-high 16 points, led the Titans to a 60-45 Region 7 win over Hettinger-Scranton on Friday.

At halftime, Trinity held a 34-21 lead and increased its lead to 14 (50-36) after the third quarter.

The Titans improved to 10-6 overall and 7-1 in Region 7. The Nights Hawks dropped to 7-10 overall and 2-5 in Region 7.

Shawn Stoltz posted 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Joe Mayer added 11 points and three assists.

For Hettinger-Scranton, Hayden Sadowsky posted a game-high 21 points and seven rebounds. Kye Erickson added 11 points.

The Titans continue their road trip traveling to Watford City at 6 p.m. today. Grinsteinner is two wins away from 400.
