DSU enrollment numbers ahead of ‘historical averages’
Dickinson State University enrollment numbers for the 2014 spring semester are close to its numbers for the same semester in 2013, according to a census report submitted recently to the North Dakota University System.
Enrollment at Dickinson State University for the 2014 spring semester is 1,404 students, which is 97 percent of the fall 2013 semester enrollment total of 1,449, according to a release sent out by DSU on Tuesday.
Enrollment numbers for the spring semester are above historical averages, according to the release. Average enrollment totals for spring semesters over the last five years — compared with the respective fall term — come in at 88 percent.
“We are excited about the number of new and continuing students who chose to attend DSU this spring,” said DSU President D.C. Coston. “I am confident that as we continue to do the right things, to serve students and to provide opportunities for scholarly and creative activities, that our university will continue to grow as we live out our mission of service to this region.”
