SPEARFISH, S.D. -- The Dickinson State men's track and field team had two athletes automatically qualify for the NAIA national indoor championships on Saturday at the Dave Little Invitational, the team's first meet of the season.

"It was a really good start for us," DSU head coach Pete Stanton said. "We're certainly not in great shape in a few events."

Andrew Knebel won the high jump in 6 feet, 8¼ inches and Dante Carter won the mile in 4 minutes, 18.56 seconds.
