Dunn County burn ban is lifted
DICKINSON - Dunn County has lifted its burn ban.
According to a news release from Denise Brew, of Dunn County Emergency Management, Open burning is now allowed, but the individuals are asked to use caution and common sense when burning.
The press release went on to say that the Dunn County Sheriff's Department and residents' local fire department should be notified of the date, time and location of a burn.

The release asked that residents follow the guidelines of this burning index:
-Low: green. Indicators show the probability of fire occurrence is low.
-Medium: blue. Weather and fuel conditions indicate some potential for fire occurrence.
-High: yellow. Fires are active with occasional high rates of spread.
-Very High: orange. Fires spread rapidly and show erratic behavior. Dangerous burning conditions exist.
-Extreme: Red. Potential for large fires exists. Fires spread rapidly and extreme fire behavior is probable. Critical burning conditions exist.
