Events called off due to wind

Email

Besides messing up a lot of hair, gusty winds that have enveloped southwest North Dakota from late last week until Thursday haven't caused many problems.

One flight was canceled Thursday at the Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport, Manager Matthew Remynse said.

"We had gusts up to 55 mph and a direct crosswind on the runway," he said. "I've been here four years and have only seen a flight canceled due to wind a handful of times."
