First Family Fun Day Saturday in Gladstone

GLADSTONE -- A day aimed at bringing communities together is the goal of a Gladstone resident, prompting her to coordinate the first Gladstone Family Fun Day, slated for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Karen Terrill said while in Oklahoma during the Fourth of July, she got the idea for the event.

"They had a Fourth of July party at the school before the fireworks and they had a carnival like this, with kind of oddball games and it was so much fun," Terrill said.
