FLASHER -- The Grant County-Flasher football team moved from 11-man to 9-man and are scoring in bunches.

The Storm scored 52 points in the first half en route to a 70-16 win over Bowman County on Saturday.

Zackary Schmidt scored four touchdowns -- including three touchdowns in the first quarter. The first was on a 35-yard interception return.

Taylor Krenz tossed seven touchdown -- three to Schmidt, two to JW Froelich and one to Tanner Marion.

Beach holds on

to beat Night Hawks

BEACH -- The Beach football team clung to a pair of first half touchdowns.

The Buccaneers scored on a 55-yard punt return and a five-yard touchdown run en route to a 16-12 over Hettinger-Scranton on Saturday.

Beach's Kirby Maus scored on the punt return. He also grabbed an interception during the second quarter.

Tyler Steffen scored the 5-yard touchdown for the Buccaneers. He finished with 20 carries for 97 yards. Marshall Nunberg added 61 yards on 10 carries and Hunter Weinreis supplied five carries for 50 yards.

The Night Hawks attempted a second-half comeback and scored 12 points in the third quarter.

Braxon Yates connected with Christian Kilwein for a 20-yard touchdown pass. Brandon Pierce rounded out the scoring with a 52-yard touchdown run.
