Great ball of fire: Dickinson rural firefighters fight blaze near Dickinson
Dickinson Rural Fire Department firefighters put out a blaze Thursday at an oil well site about three miles south of town. A valve in a treater got stuck and dumped oil into the flare pit at the site, starting it on fire, Fire Chief Andy Paulson said. Firefighters responded at approximately 4:30 p.m. and had the flames under control within the hour. Stark County Sheriff's Office assisted in directing traffic away from the well. No damages or injuries were reported. For more pictures at the scene, visit www.thedickinsonpress.com.
