HLC to vote on Dickinson State accreditation Thursday
Larry Skogen, interim chancellor of the North Dakota University System, said the Higher Learning Commission accreditation team plans to vote Thursday on the fate of Dickinson State University’s accreditation, after putting the school on notice in July 2012 over reports of phony enrollment figures led to the school’s president being dismissed.
Skogen said Monday several other administrators at the school, including the registrar and the chief financial officer, “are gone,” and the HLC has said “the issues for which (the university) was put on notice have been fixed.”
He’s confident the HLC soon will fully reinstate DSU’s accreditation status, said Skogen, who is a DSU alumnus.
