Jackson, Steiner voted in to Dickinson City Commission
The two incumbents for the Dickinson City Commission will keep their seats.
Commissioners Gene Jackson and Carson Steiner took the votes from retired Sgt. 1st Class Scott Decker. Jackson led the way with 34.8 percent, Steiner received 34.53 percent and Decker grabbed 30.38 percent.
"I'm just appreciative of the people of Dickinson having faith in me again," Jackson said. "We have a great community."
The race was close, Decker said. He congratulated the commissioners while speaking with The Dickinson Press, adding there will be another election in two years when Shirley Dukart's term is up. Dukart won the election Tuesday.
"The people happy are happy the way things are going and they don't want a new voice in there," he said.
