Jahner, Titans finish 2nd in East-West Shootout

JAMESTOWN — The Dickinson Trinity boys golf team couldn’t hold off Northern Lights during the second day of the East-West Shootout.

Trinity finished in runner-up with a two-day score 709, while sophomore Willy Jahner also placed runner-up individually. Northern Lights won with a team score of 703.

Jahner posted scores of 81 and 77 for a two-day total of 158. Northern Lights’ Nick Myhre, who is the defending Class B state champion, had a score of 156.

Trinity also received top 10 finishes from junior Conner Friske in seventh with a 181, while sophomore Jaret Lee ended in a tie for 10th (185).

The other top 10 area finisher was Heart River’s Joey Wagner in fourth (173). The Cougars placed fourth in team scores with a 756.
