Jahner, Trinity edge Kidder County

BISMARCK — Despite a game-high 30-point performance from Kidder County’s Sadie Rohrich, the Dickinson Trinity girls basketball team kept every other opposing player in check.

Kidder County’s next closest player to double figures was Paige Schmidt with eight.

On the other hand, Rachel Jahner and Alanna Sickler combined for 38 points to lead the Titans past the Pirates 58-47 on Saturday during the Bismarck Civic Center Jamboree.

Out of the team-high 22 points Jahner scored, 21 of them came from 3-point range. Kennedy Keator added nine points, while Madison Jahner posted seven. Katelyn Grinsteinner and Jillian Stockert each chipped in two.

At halftime, the Titans held a 32-25 lead, but had 10-point leads after the first and third quarters.

Trinity continues its season traveling to Hazen at 5:30 p.m. Monday for the team’s first Region 7 game of the season.
