Jahner wins WDJT championship

MANDAN — After Monday’s performance, Dickinson’s Rachel Jahner held a lead with a 72 entering the final day of the Western Dakota Junior championship.

The Dickinson Trinity graduate didn’t falter on Wednesday.

Jahner, who won the North Dakota Class A state girls championship, rattled off a 78 to win the WDJT championship in the girls 16 to 18 age division with a two-day total of 150 at Prairie West Golf Course.

With the WDJT season over, Jahner picked four wins in the final five tournaments. Prior to the championship, Jahner won at the Jamestown Country Club, Hawktree and Apple Creek Country Club. Jahner is signed to play golf at the University of Jamestown in the fall.
