Lawyer disbarred for problems stemming from meth, crack abuse
FARGO — The North Dakota Supreme Court this month disbarred a Fargo lawyer who used clients’ money to support her methamphetamine and crack cocaine habit.
Rebecca Lee Lawler had been suspended since July 2012, almost six years after obtaining her license.
“During the time of heaviest use, Lawler used drugs daily,” justices noted in her disbarment order. “Lawler used client funds to buy drugs, knowing she was putting their money at risk.”
