Leonard Dean Koppinger was born October 8, 1962 in Dickinson, the son of Louis and Donnella (Roll) Koppinger. He was raised on the family farm near Lefor, and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1981. Following high school he did welding jobs at Lindbo, Dukes Welding, Diamond Truck, and DTE. His last job was with Wyoming Casing.

Lenny was a man of many skills. He had an artistic talent with wood, dirt, cement, metal, and trees. If you wanted something fixed, built or done to perfection, you would call Lenny, but not when the Broncos were playing. He also enjoyed traveling.

Lenny is survived by his one son, Matt (special friend, Lisa Wegner); his granddaughter, Jersey; mother, Donnella Koppinger; sister, Renae (Roger) Jahner; two brothers, Terence (Tootie) Koppinger, and Darrell Koppinger; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis; grandparents, Nick and Catherine Roll, and Mathias and Sophie Koppinger; nephew, Louis Jahner; and niece, Shanna Rae Jahner.
