Letter: Dickinson business owners take advantage of oil situation
Made reservations at a "newly renovated" hotel in Dickinson.
After we checked in, we were disgusted with the dirty conditions in our bathroom and the room we slept in.
The oil boom has caused a lack of motel rooms for visitors, we know, but don't believe it is an excuse not to clean those that are supposedly available.
Ripped off is how we felt and could only wonder how the men who occupy these rooms after working all day are feeling if similar conditions exist for them.
I have never written such a letter before or had occasion to complain about a motel room, no matter what the cost, but owners taking advantage of a situation such as this really annoys and upsets me!
Can something be done about this? I wonder.
