Letter: Thanks to support for Stark County Veterans Memorial

Email

I would like to thank everyone for the support we have gotten for the construction of the Stark County Veterans Memorial. Without this support, this project would not be possible. I would also like to thank all of those who are helping make this memorial become a reality.

To update everyone on the status of the memorial, more than 6,000 names have been received and the granite panels are being worked on. Additional names are being accepted. These names will be included or are being retained for later inclusion. A contractor has volunteered to landscape the area of the memorial and will do so as soon as time permits. Local contractors have stepped forward to excavate, form and pour the concrete, as well as do all the electrical work.

The dream of a Stark County Veterans Memorial is becoming a reality. More than 500 bricks have been sold and are still available. Donations are also still being accepted, which may be sent to Stark County Veterans Memorial Association, PO Box 929, Dickinson, ND 58602. You can contact me at 701-225-9461 or the Association Vice President, Art Wanner at 701-225-9549.

Dave Logosz,

President, Stark County Veterans Memorial Association
