Coborn's Inc., parent company of Cash Wise Foods and Cash Wise Liquors, was the only bid and, pending approval from the City Commission, will purchase the license from the city for $185,000.

"I have to admit I am surprised, yes," City Administrator Shawn Kessel said.

Coborn's plans to open its Cash Wise stores in the Roers' Development in west Dickinson in 2014.

The $185,000 will be due upon commission approval.
